Kitty and I visited Pungo Lake back on December 11. Now known as Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, it is home to huge winter populations of tundra swan and snow geese. There was no shortage during our visit. Most of the photos here are swan as the snow geese lay low until nearly sunset. There are also some shovelers and other waterfowl in this rather large set.
