There’s a lot to be said for minimalist design. But it is sometimes pleasant to see a little excess and stress on style in addition to utility. This 1921 draw bridge in Pocomoke City MD is a center of attention, and maybe even identity, for the small town. It’s on Old US 13, but you can get a peek from the by-pass. I took these photos March 6, 2021.
