Southern was once among the several rail companies which served Bristol TN/VA. The Wes Davis Greenway appears to be the old Southern (nee Bristol, Elizabethton and North Carolina, later Virginia and Southwestern) right-of-way through town. Davis was a prominent local Kiwanis member, thus their sponsorship of this park and its greenway. A Southern caboose and the passenger coach 810 “Bristol” are parked on the greenway with an old crossing signal and antique lamp posts. It is on Volunteer Parkway a block or so into Tennessee.
